High-Temperature Insulation

The development of high-temperature insulations is the core of the “Why?” for SDMA. We have been working on aerospace applications since the National Aerospace Plane (X-30) was proposed by Ronald Reagan in 1986.

SDMA’s initial designs used gold and platinum to block heat. However, current materials and methods allow for affordable, more efficient Thermal Protection Systems.

Current technologies are cost-effective, and perform better, using materials to create Advanced Insulations.
